Soneva Jani, Medhufaru Island, Maldives

Soneva Jani is located on the island of Medhufaru on the Maldivean atoll Noonu. It is one of the largest islands in the Maldives and is easily accessible.  The resort can be reached by a scenic 30 minute private seaplane flight.

One of the most breathtaking accommodations available on the resort is the three bedroom Water Reserve Villa. This overwater villa features a retractable roof, private pool with catamaran nets, open air bathroom and a water slide among other luxuries. Once you step inside this idyllic place you will want to stay forever.

The Soneva Jani Resort includes a spa, a dive centre, an observatory, a children’s den, an eco centro, organic gardens and an outdoor cinema paradiso. The cinema will be the first silent cinema in the Maldives, as guests will be given bluetooth earphones to watch movies so as not to disturb the nesting wildlife in the area.

The resort will serve global cuisine at five dining outlets, and will feature Soneva’s ubiquitous cheese, chocolate, ice-cream and charcuterie rooms that are complimentary for all guests. Various destination and specialty dining experiences will also be available.

About the Maldives

Known for its white sand beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs, the Maldives is a tropical nation that lies in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The capital, Malé, has a colourful fish market, local restaurants and souvenir shops on the main road. A 17th-century Hukuru Miskiy (also known as Friday Mosque) is entirely made of carved white coral.

Unrivalled luxury and a unique underwater world make the Maldives an obvious choice for a holiday of a lifetime. Home to some of the best beaches in the world, white powder sand and luminous turquoise blue water like in the Maldives is a world class destination.

With some of the best diving and snorkelling, the Maldives are a magnet for anyone with an interest in the underwater world. Coral walls, schools of brightly coloured tropical fish swimming amongst magnificent caves are only the beginning. Explore deeper waters to find turtles, manta rays, sharks and even the world’s largest fish, the whale shark.
