The Rusty Parrot Lodge, Jackson - Wyoming, United States

A family-run 32-room lodge that's one of the top small luxury hotels in the world. It caters to the traveler, not the tourist. The owners and staff delight in sharing information about the town and area they love and their passion for Jackson Hole. Earning the AAA Four-Diamond award for eighteen years in a row attests to that passion.

While each room at the Rusty Parrot is individually appointed, there are some aspects that are constant in every room: All have the finest linens, plush towels, soft terry robes and slippers, L’Occitane bath amenities and flat panel satellite television. Care has been taken to ensure that rooms express comfort and an understated luxury that is the real Jackson Hole. The Rusty Parrot Lodge is designed similar to a split-level home. Eight steps lead to the first floor while nine steps bring you to the second floor. Where ever you might be standing, there are breathtaking views from every window.

With a creative menu incorporating local flavors and ingredients, the Wild Sage offers a memorable experience in one of the world’s most memorable places. The Wild Sage’s intimate 32-seat gathering room, with its rugged river rock fireplace, has a full view of the state of the art exhibition-style kitchen. Regional offerings feature organically grown produce, local game and meats, sustainable fish and seafood, and freshly prepared desserts. The restaurant offers an extensive Wine List, carefully chosen to complement Dinner Menu selections.

The spa grew out of the massage practice that founder Heidi Harrison started in 1991. It became the first spa in Jackson where it remains a favorite among visitors and locals alike. Harrison describes the journey that led to the spa: “The seed for the Body Sage was planted when I left a corporate career and bought a one-way ticket to Bali. Over the next eighteen months, I crewed on a yacht through the Indonesian archipelago, studied yoga in India, meditation in Nepal and fell in love with traditional Thai massage. Growing and gathering herbs and flowers to create treatments unique to the spa fulfills a dream of mine and offers our guests an experience they won’t find anywhere else”.
