About Tanzania

Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas and natural beauty. One of the most popular areas are the plains of the Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game. Elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos and rhinos can all be observed in their natural habitat.

The Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain, is one of the most incredible sights in the country and daily excursions can be organised to experience this natural monument. Lying offshore are the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs and some of the best white-sand beaches in the world.

With a 19th-century caravan route, once a famous port of call for Oriental merchants, and ancient rock paintings, Tanzania offers many historical and cultural experiences. Over 100 ethnic groups proudly live in the country keeping the heritage and ancient culture alive.
