Ett Hem Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden

Ett Hem Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden

Ett Hem was a private residence built in 1910. The people who built it had a propensity for beauty, and they left their mark on this townhouse, situated in a peaceful, residential area of Stockholm. This arts and crafts building is a tranquil home away from home, steeped in the Scandinavian aesthetics where functionality meets beauty. With twelve rooms, Ett Hem offers discerning guests comfortable interiors and bedrooms full of summery whiteness of light. Outdoors, the courtyard garden is a secret city wilderness and the perfect place for a summer breakfasts or winding down in the evening over a chilled bottle of wine. They have a well thought out menu of delicious food using local produce, which can be served at a time of your choice and wherever you prefer. Eat in the kitchen or a bit more formally in the library, or look out at the garden from the greenhouse. Ett Hem is not the usual hotel, but a place where guests are treated as friends of the family, a place that allows guests to become part of it and feel right at home.

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre-colored buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, which focuses on the Nobel Prize. Ferries and sightseeing boats shuttle passengers between the islands.
