Playa del Carmen is a coastal resort town in Mexico, along the Yucatán Peninsula's Riviera Maya strip of Caribbean shoreline. The town is known for its palm-lined beaches and coral reefs. The Quinta Avenida pedestrian avenue runs parallel to the beach, with blocks of shops, restaurants and nightspots ranging from laid-back bars to dance clubs.
Ideally located, close to Cancún’s international airport, and yet far enough south to allow easy access to Cozumel, Tulum, Cobá and other world famous destinations. The reefs here are excellent offering diving and snorkelling and a long list of water sport activities.
